This site provides reminiscences for those who came on our memorable family weekend on May 4th & 5th, 2019 (even if only for one day), and for those who could not make it, it is a record of a very special time together.
Please do engage with the site & get in touch – there is a contact page on the site – and leave as many comments or anecdotes as you like. The best part of family is sharing. There are already some love;y letters on the site written from ‘the heart’, which I also treasure immensely.
The film is a lasting memory of Cobh and Ballycotton, and of our family together, which Andrew captured perfectly. The beautiful short film from Anika, Andrew’s friend from Vienna who joined us, was a lovely surprise too.
Thank you one and all for making the weekend special. Remember, in the family Standen, whether you are in direct line or once or twice removed, we all are related in some way. It warms my heart especially that the new generation has sought love far and wide, bringing new experiences and fresh inspiration into our family.
